What this tool can—and cannot—show

Probability is not a promise.

The exact expected value and the random path answer different questions. Both matter.

House edge

The expected loss per bet equals the stake multiplied by the house edge. Total expected loss equals total scheduled turnover multiplied by that edge.

Short-term outcomes

A negative expected value does not prevent a winning bet, session or player. Monte Carlo shows the distribution of possible outcomes rather than claiming every player loses.

Bankroll limit

Population simulations stop when the remaining balance cannot fund the next stake. They do not assume new deposits, borrowing or access to household money.

Loss chasing

The comparison is deliberately limited and educational. No staking pattern guarantees recovery, and increasing stakes can exhaust money faster.

Sports and slots

True sports probabilities are unknown. Slot RTP does not disclose the full pay table or volatility, so slot paths use a clearly labelled illustrative payout pattern.

Repeatability

The 10,000-player population uses a fixed seed so input comparisons are consistent. The one-bet and one-session buttons create fresh educational random outcomes.
