Small bets can create surprisingly large turnover.
Choose a transparent probability model, then describe how often the stake is repeated. Turnover counts every bet—including money that may have been won and bet again.
There are 18 winning numbers, 18 losing numbers and one zero. A win returns twice the stake, including the original stake.
This is an exact single-zero European roulette model for an even-money red-or-black bet.

The house edge is small. Repetition makes it expensive.
Expected value is not a prediction of tonight’s result. It is the average outcome the same bet approaches across very large repetition.

Winning once does not change the mathematics.
Run one outcome or add the next 20 sequential outcomes. The balance path is drawn point by point while turnover grows—a sober financial animation with no sounds, flashing, celebration or autoplay.

Every simulated player starts with the same balance and attempts the same betting pattern. Betting stops when the player cannot afford the next fixed stake.
Some players will finish ahead. The important question is what happens across all 10,000 players—and how many can no longer place the next bet.
Chasing losses
Changing the stake changes the danger—not the house edge.
This risk experiment increases the next stake after a loss, up to eight times the starting stake, and resets after a win. It is shown to expose the risk, not as a betting strategy.
Every rand wagered still carries the same 2,7% expected house edge. Larger recovery bets increase turnover, volatility and the amount exposed to that edge.

What this tool can—and cannot—show
Probability is not a promise.
The exact expected value and the random path answer different questions. Both matter.
The expected loss per bet equals the stake multiplied by the house edge. Total expected loss equals total scheduled turnover multiplied by that edge.
A negative expected value does not prevent a winning bet, session or player. Monte Carlo shows the distribution of possible outcomes rather than claiming every player loses.
Population simulations stop when the remaining balance cannot fund the next stake. They do not assume new deposits, borrowing or access to household money.
The comparison is deliberately limited and educational. No staking pattern guarantees recovery, and increasing stakes can exhaust money faster.
True sports probabilities are unknown. Slot RTP does not disclose the full pay table or volatility, so slot paths use a clearly labelled illustrative payout pattern.
The 10,000-player population uses a fixed seed so input comparisons are consistent. The one-bet and one-session buttons create fresh educational random outcomes.
