How this estimate works

The calculator deducts the allowable portion of your retirement fund contributions from gross salary, applies the relevant SARS income tax bracket and age-based rebate, and then deducts estimated PAYE, UIF and your full retirement contribution to show take-home pay. The selected tax year controls the tax table, rebates, thresholds and retirement contribution cap used.
